GENERAL ELECTION 2024
I worked as an election logger during the campaign and also as a part of the Sky News 'crunch declaration team'.
As an election logger, I was responsible for sifting through all the political feeds entering the newsroom, logging key moments for packages and flagging clips for immediate output. I was also responsible for writing a short synopsis of each feed and submitting a daily report to news editors, outlining what political content had been aired on TV and ensuring this was tracked down to the minute.
On election night, I worked as part of the crunch declaration team. This involved keeping across 80 feeds at counts across the country. As a count was declaring, I entered the information into an election CMS (Content Management System), linked to graphics, which would then display the information inputted onto TV alongside the declaration.
